I've raised £500 to help raise much needed funds for Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre who care and support people living with Cystic Fibrosis.

We lost dean from our lives three years ago- he was our beloved dad, son, husband, brother and friend. We miss him beyond words. Throughout his life he lived with cystic fibrosis and was cared for very regularly at the Manchester adult cystic fibrosis centre in Wythenshawe. He was so grateful for the outstanding care they gave him and because he spent so much time there he thought of them as extended members of his family. He kept a notebook with all his medical notes in and after he had passed away I looked through them. On the last page there was a list of people who worked at the hospital who he’d had contact with, the job they did and notes about each of them such as ‘daughter about to go to university‘ or ’supports Man city’. He’d done that to make sure he could always remember them and what they had talked about to him so he could show them how much he respected each of them and the way they all helped him. He wrote down everyone from the doctors, the physios, the person that brought him food and the person that cleaned his room. He was grateful to each and every one. So, his sisters Vicky and Katy, wife Joanne and a few other family members along the way are going to try to raise some money!
For deans 50th birthday that is in June we will be walking from Wythenshawe hospital in Manchester to deans beloved Ewood Park in Blackburn - approximately 50 km!! And in deans memory and as our way of saying Thankyou for all the MACFC do we would love to raise as much money as possible. Thanks for your support. x
