Story

David sadly passed away on the 15th of June 2022.

David was a former pupil at Royal school for the Deaf Derby (RSDD) between the ages of 11 and 16. The school meant everything to David during those years (the happiest of his school days), and he made many lifelong friends there. During his time at RSDD, he enjoyed many lovely and exciting trips provided by the school, including a trip to Denmark and various sporting events and activities required to complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Recently, RSDD announced one of their minibuses was no longer roadworthy, leaving them unable to provide the level of support for school trips that David enjoyed.

Please help us raise funds so that current and future deaf children attending RSDD can experience the excitement of school trips. By donating in David's memory at the time of the funeral and by getting involved in the long list of fundraising events at RSDD that will be posted here later, you will help realise David's dream of paying for the replacement minibus.

The YouTube link above contains the clip that inspired David about the minibus on BSL Newsround.
