Story
On 13th October this year, David Marriott was dropping his Grandson, Marcus, off at Barnby Road School in Newark. While his wife Ann took Marcus into school, David had a massive heart attack and passed away shortly after.
While a defibrillator couldn't have saved David, we would like to raise enough money for one to be installed just outside the school in David's memory, in case it could save someone's life in the future who suffers a less serious heart attack in the area.
To help raise funds, Ann's close friend and colleague, Kevin Hempsall, will be power-walking the 44 miles from his house in North Hykeham, to Skegness. He will start at 5am on 17th December, and will finish the walk later that day. 6 year old Marcus will also be taking part, by accompanying Kevin for the last mile of the walk and crossing the finish line with him.
Join us to cheer Kevin on and to meet him and Marcus at the finish line!
Any funds that are raised beyond the target will be donated to The British Heart Foundation.
Thank you!
