David Philpot

Our dear friend, David, passed away suddenly on Friday 10th February 2017.

David was known as a pillar in the community town of Portrush where for over 25 years, he had committed himself to public and voluntary service in the community. His legacy and accolades cannot be measured having helped mentor and grow so many hundreds of young people and adults from the North Coast town for so long.

Our thoughts are with Davids family in the aftermath of what must be a truly heartbreaking event. We wish in some way, to attempt, to continue with a legacy that he worked so long to build with his young people always at heart and with his passion in wildlife and the countryside.

Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
