Story

Staff Wellness within The Critical Care Unit, The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital & Patient Recovery Outdoor Area in the Courtyard of The Royal Hospital

Throughout these last 10 weeks or so, we have enjoyed hosting our FREE Zoom sessions each week by conducting golf coaching and a Guest Speaker slot every Friday. We asked those who participated in these sessions to donate to this page and we have been overwhelmed with the response and support during this time. I'd like to say a HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who has kindly donated to our Fundraising Page.

Each week, we have supplied the staff within the Critical Care Unit over at The QEUH with a variety of single pack snacks, drinks and refreshments to enjoy during very long shifts. We have enjoyed receiving various photos of staff enjoying their breaks which has been so rewarding for us all to see.

We have since been in touch with the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh to see how we can support them and we're delighted to announce that we are purchasing two lovely garden benches and a table so that families of patients who have been in the Critical Care Unit can get some fresh air outside of, what we can only imagine, to be a very hot ward.

As we ease into Phase 1, we're all hopeful that progress during this dreadful pandemic continues and as each day passes, the cases decrease in size. HOWEVER, we have raised a staggering amount of money and will continue to support the staff in whatever way we can.

Best Wishes,

David Orr
