The Kyarumba Joint Christian Orphanage Nursery and Primary School is a new school established in Kyarumba, western Uganda in 2022 with the goal to eradicate illiteracy and improve children’s education in the most disadvantaged in society, including subsidised places for orphans and children being looked after outside their family

Since 2021 a huge fundraising effort has enabled the project to build a number of the School buildings. Whilst the school is now open and accepting pupils, many of these buildings remain unfinished This causes disruption to the school day, particularly during the current rainy season as not all buildings are completely watertight and there is no permanent kitchen structure in place.

Having a fully finished school building will enable the School to be fully registered with the Ugandan authorities, better serve the children and their families, provide a higher quality of education, reach more children and give more counselling and support to those families whose children will attend the school. This project also provides employment to local people through the building work, and in providing support services to the school.

The key needs are;

- Funding to pay for disadvantaged children to attend the school

- Construction of a school Kitchen and Storeroom

- Procurement of a school van for transporting children and aiding children school academic trips

- Construction of 2 accommodation blocks (Dormitories) both Boys and Girls

- Construction of School Administration Block

- Procurement of School computers to aid computer skills of children and for school admin work

- Extracurricular equipment such as sports equipment

- Chapel Music instruments to help in all school fellowships

- Funding for Capital school project (School Maize Milling Business)
