Story
David's fight for health lasts almost two years. The methods used to combat cancer, such as surgical procedures, numerous chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hematopoietic cell transplantation, and MIBG megaterapia, have stopped the disease development for some time. The next stage is the immunotherapy involving the administration of specific anti-GD2 antibodies (Dinutuximab beta), which bind to the remaining neuroblastoma cells in the body and stimulate the immune system to destroy these persistent cancer cells. For many years, the use of anti-Gd2 antibodies in the combined treatment of children with advanced neuroblastoma is the standard of conduct in the world, including in Europe, and increases the chance of cure. The cost of treating one child is about one million zlotys. So far, no consent has been obtained to finance this therapy by the NFZ. Therefore, we are asking for financial support for the purchase of Dinutuximab beta for David, whose greatest dream is to recover.
The Polish hospital are willing to contribute HALF of the money for the treatment, but we still need to raise £105,000 (half a million zlotys) to cover the remaining costs. Every donation no matter how small or big, is very much appreciated and will go a long way into helping this special little boy in making his dreams come true.
