ORCA is a local swimming club in Royton. We take swimmers right the way from lessons and inspire a love of exercise, especially in the water. We are right at the grassroots of sport and rely on a team of dedicated volunteers. We are a safe space for young people in their community and we help friendships form for life. Without local clubs like ourselves it would be very hard for people young and old to get into sport and even take it to the very top level. But it's getting harder and harder for small organisations like ourselves to meet ever rising costs and I'm determined to do whatever I can to help. I'm no runner, but in a moment of weakness and lapse of concentration, I've entered the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 9th October and I'd be so grateful if you could sponsor me to raise money for this wonderful little amateur swimming club.
