Story
Turning 50 means you have to take on the next challenges in your life. It is just a number. I'm a maths teacher and understand the magnitude of figures . If you feel fit and healthy , I feel you must support the local worthwhile charities. Major physical and mental events to push me to the next level. Stay youthful . These are the fitness challenges on the horizon
1. Chester Ultra 50 miles - 2 March
2. Brighton marathon - start of April
3. 10 parkruns in a day = 50km - July
I am also looking to take on a 70.3 triathlon and world series half marathons in the next year.

Over the years I have raised thousands & thousands of pounds with the support of my family, friends and work colleagues-. Mencap , MIND, Cancer Research Breast Cancer Care, Macmillan, Prostate Cancer and many more. I have always raised money in loving memory of my gorgeous sister, Lisa, and in caring/supporting other family members & friends during tough times.

5 months agoWe did it. 10 parkruns in a day across North Wales, Wirral & Chester. All 13 runners completed the 50km charity challenge. Lots of laughter and singing on the fun bus! People joined us along the route and really lifted our spirits. Weather improved eventually. Massive thank you for all the support and donations. Great efforts from families , friends, King's Chester, CRR, parkrun volunteers, our two incredible drivers and many more people. Justgiving site 'live' for a few more days. Thank you again

7 months ago"50 years young" Challenge Two completed at the start of April. Incredible atmosphere at Brighton marathon. Battling the trains, sunburn and wind . Super memories and great to see Auntie &Uncle at 19, 23 miles +finish. Fully recommend this running festival. The rest of the month was spent "dot watching" the amazing CRR gang. Logistical plans developing nicely for the 10 parkruns in a day. Thank you all for the kind donations and motivation . Keep on giving and we can make a difference

9 months agoChallenge one completed. Tough conditions but managed to run & wade through all the mud. Crossed the line in 14 h 22 mins for the Chester Ultra
