Story
The Vucjak Shelter and Sanctuary was established in 1997 to care for abandoned dogs in the area that surrounds Kragujevacka, Serbia. The shelter is run by Dejan with the help of some volunteers and at present looks after nearly 300 dogs plus many cats and some wild animals. The shelter relies entirely on donations and with a food bill alone of around 1000 Euros a week the task of providing for the animals is enormous and never ending.
I would love to be able to provide funds to care for the animals even for just a few days. So this is why I have decided to do a sponsored bike ride. With your help we can feed the animals and help hopefully with some medical care.
I will be doing the charity bike ride on the week commencing 4th September 2017
Thank you

The area I live and cycle Wharfedale and Wensleyday is renowned for it's difficult gradients and this 108km ride includes the notorious Greenhow Hill above Pateley Bridge that was ascended in the Tour de Yorkshire 2017 and makes up some of the 4757ft of climbs on the route.
