Unfortunately, Joanne's last surgical intervention proved unsuccessful despite the confidence of her neurosurgeons. Within 24 hours she was taken back to theater where they carried out a more complex and invasive procedure which involved removing part of her skull to help reduce the swelling and relieve the pressure on her brain. Darren's reported that the pressure has remained low since the operation and thinks she has "turned a corner" Darren again expressed his gratitude for all the donations he has received through Just Giving.

Yesterday afternoon Joanne went into theatre for a high stakes surgical procedure. 3 hours later Darren sent me an update and asked me to share it with the friends and donors who have contributed to this appeal. "Joanne is back out of theatre and the surgeon's said everything has gone ok. It's just a waiting game again now to see if the drain works and her brain can start to recover." Joanne continues to be very poorly and is undertaking more test and scans on a daily basis. The family want to thank the consultants, nurses and support staff at Salford Royal for their professionalism, care and compassion. They are reassured that Joanne is getting the best care possible in the most challenging and upsetting circumstances. Please continue to hope and pray for Joanne.
