I've raised £1000 to help support charitys in the memory of my dad

If the past 14 months have taught me anything it is to value the time we have with the ones we love. We sadly lost my dad to cancer in March as he lost his brave battle against this terrible disease. Dad was a much loved character who loved life. He was a friend to many and loved his family dearly. My love of sport and my career in golf, came from my dad and I will be forever grateful for his support and encouragement. I wanted to do something to raise money in honour of dad and when I remembered what he used to say to me, the perfect idea came my way! Dad used to say, "You would play golf 24 hours a day if you could" and so I am! Starting at 5.30pm on Thursday 22nd July at Exeter Golf & Country Club, I will be embarking on a challenge of playing golf for 24 hours. I will be playing 6 rounds of golf in this time and will be on the first tee every 4 hours. I will putt out on the 18th green at 5.30pm on Friday 23rd July. For the night rounds I will be using special night golf equipment and I will be joined by members of the club for all my tee times to help raise money for both Marie Curie & Exmouth & Lympstone Hospice. They were both incredible in making my dads last few months as comfortable and pain free as possible for both my dad and all of my family. This will be both a very tough mental and physical challenge, but I am determined to complete this for my dad. Any donation you may be able to make would be much appreciated and help motivate me to complete my challenge. Thank you very much.
