Hello, my name is Daniel and I’ve had the privilege of calling Jon Over my friend for almost 20 years. Jon is a truly selfless person who has done so much for so many people. He is kind, caring, and full of compassion, a true friend to us all. As many of you will know, Jon is always there in your hour of need, going above and beyond for anyone.

Sadly, after suffering from increased loss of strength and muscular twitching, Jon was recently diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease). MND is a rare condition affecting the brain and nerves, causing muscle weakness, twitches, slurred speech, and difficulty swallowing. It occurs when motor neurones in the brain and nerves gradually stop working, leading to devastating consequences.

Due to this condition, Jon, his wife Marie and their 2 girls are facing the heartbreaking reality of having to move out of their family home to manage the challenges that come with living with this debilitating disease. Although there is currently no cure for MND, we can make a difference together.
