My son Joe is currently battling cancer. Back in February 2020, he was diagnosed with CML which is a very rare blood cancer with very limited treatments available. Some of the treatments we have already tried have been very toxic for Joe and his current treatment plan hasn’t done what it needs to. As his Mum, I want to raise some money for Research with Cancer with Children with Cancer UK so that better treatments can be found which are less toxic to children of Joe’s age. I also want to raise money for Molly Olly’s Wishes who supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. To do this, I plan to climb to the top of Snowdon which I want to do in honour of Joe and how he has continued to battle with this dreadful disease despite many challenges. I appreciate that we are in unprecedent times and financially, things are tough for many people but any donation big or small would mean a lot to both of us.
