Story
Daisy is our cheeky little 3 year old daughter soon to be turning 4!
She had a persistant cough that was diagnosed by our GP as being a lower chest infection; after being given Penicillin she still had it, so after another 3 trips back to the GP they diagnosed Asthma and prescribed an inhaler for her but once again this didn't work.
One weekend back in November 2016 she was very lethargic and boiling hot so I took her to A&E to been seen and she just was not her usual self, after listening to her chest with a stethoscope doctors were concerned that air was not coming out of one lung, after having an x ray they could see that Daisy has a collapsed lung and a tumour squashing her airways, after more tests, biopsies and scans we were told that Daisy has T -cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma a type of Cancer.
Since this diagnosis our worlds have fallen apart.
We are living away from home as she is in hospital receiving Chemotherapy and steroids as well as other drugs. we also have a 5 year old and an 8 week old baby and are unable work as one of us always has to stay by her side day and night. Bills and rent still need to be paid and our car is off of the road as the engine has seized. Everything seems a little too much for us at the moment and we are giving our all to make sure that Daisy gets better and beats this disease. Daisy should be living like any other child of her age but instead is in bed and very wobbly on her feet, feeling unwell and tired, this is a huge contrast from the child that she once was; she loved being outdoors on her bike or playing with her sisters but now has lost all interest. Our worlds have fallen apart and we really could do with a little help to ease some of the burdens of life right now.
Our ultimate aim is to get Daisy better, help her through the 2.5 year treatment plan and get back that infectious smile she has.
Please help if you can, like every parent does; we want the best for her and her sisters xxx

8 years agoWhat an amazing amount of money raised for our family, incredible. You don't realise how much pressure this has taken off us, we can now just focus on getting through the next 2 years of treatment. Daisy was supposed to be in hospital this week for her final course of this perticular chemo however due to her blood counts she was not well enough to go so off to Southampton on monday for the week! We have had some brilliant events and still have some to come so like our page on Facebook and get updates on our Do Do's (keepdaisysmiling) 💖💖💖

8 years ago3 days into Daisy's 3rd round of chemo and hopefully 2 days remaining until we can go home. Thank you to the tough mudder teachers at Siddlesham School who braved the military style course and the 12 of them achieved it in 3hr 30mins. Thank you to Mrs Thurley and Mrs Bardsley who have supported our family from the start, we feel so proud and grateful of everyone who has donated through Just Giving and elsewhere. If you can donate, thank you; if you have already then please ask your friends and family to in our final 5 days xxx KEEPDAISYSMILING
