We are a group of dads from Eccles in Kent who are walking fifty miles for twenty hours non-stop from Dover Castle to our village in Kent, to raise money for the local pre-school.

We start on Friday, the 27th of January 2022, at 20:00 and arrive at the pre-school at 16:00 the following day.

Eccles Pre-school has been an integral part of the local community for nearly 50 years. It is a much-loved, and well-regarded asset to parents, grandparents, and children past and present!

Covid 19 closures, and restrictions (at the time) on organising fundraising gatherings, have meant that this 'low cost' childcare provision has found it hard to sustain childcare support at an affordable level. A fundraising boost will ensure that it not only survives but thrives!

The pre-school already has a business plan that will secure its future for many years to come. However, the charity commission requires three months of funding in its account for it to continue, which is why we are raising such a significant sum.

This money will secure the future of the pre-school.
