Story

Following our successful foodbank fundraising initiative in partnership with London South East Colleges’ throughout lockdown, the initiative is being re-launched as #FestiveFEFoodbankFriday to support local foodbanks in the run up to Christmas, helping many vulnerable people from buying the basic items they need.

With the Covid-19 pandemic continuing to have significant social and economic impact on so many people, foodbanks across the country are reporting a huge rise in demand. To help people in need, the College is working with other FE colleges nationally to collect 30,000 items for local foodbanks.

As we are physically unable to collect food items under the current circumstances, we are pledging our support for this initiative to raise £1,000 for our three local food banks (King’s Lynn, Wisbech and Cambridge). If you have a preference for which food bank you want your donation to go to, you can specify this when you make your donation. Otherwise, donations will be split between the food banks.

We are asking anyone willing during this extremely tough period to consider donating what they can, to ensure that we all can pull through this crisis together.
