Story

Cumnor Hill House, along with the rest of the Berkeley Care Group, has chosen to support Connie's gene therapy penny pot! so that this brave young girl can get the funds she desperately needs in order to live a normal, happy and healthy life. - We are also fundraising for a number of other causes including Alzheimer's Society, Cancer Research UK and Special Effect.

So the staff here at Cumnor Hill House will be doing a number of amazing events to support this effort (with more to be added soon!).

13th July - Carers Alex and Megan are doing the Reading "Pretty Muddy 5k"

29th July - Events Manager Alan will be doing a 170 mile + solo bike ride across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire & Wiltshire - visiting Reading (including our sister home at Shinfield View), Andover, Stonehenge and back to Cumnor Hill.

Sometime in August - If we reach 50% of our target Alan & Frances will be Wing Walking... i.e. we'll be put on top of the wings of a plane and flown around.

7th September - Snowstormer - Members of our Events Team Alan & Anita, Carers Frances, Alex and Meghan *and* our Deputy Manager Marta will be taking part in a cold version of Tough Mudder!

15th September - Memory Walk - Members of Staff from a range of our departments (and some residents!) will be participating

13th October - Oxford Half Marathon - Events Manager Alan will be running this year's Oxford Half Marathon.
