Iʼve raised £890 to help maintain this project and to keep it going. Every donation to us is put directly into managing the bins and supplying materials!

Story
In August 2021, North Lanarkshire Council decided to remove all of the doggy poop bins from key areas of Cumbernauld, leaving just a handful of badly placed, inconvenient huge bins where poop bags accumulate and don't get cleaned often at all, sparking a sharp rise in dog fouling and overflowing bins creating nasty smells.
At the Cumbernauld Doggy Club, we recognised that this is simply unacceptable so we decided to create a bin, fit with cool logos, a weatherproof design and do the rounds to maintain these every week, but they come at a cost. Each bin is £15 in total, for all the parts and manufacturing. We have supplied a couple, but it is naturally very costly!
This cost was fronted by the creator of the Club but since there's such a big demand for these, we are asking our kind neighbours and fellow dog lovers to donate just £2 to help us achieve our goal of installing 10 bins across Cumbernauld, to help keep our streets, parks and fields clean and safe for both humans and our fluffy companions!
A donation of £2 is extremely appreciated and we thank you so so much for this! If you want to "Buy a Bin" for your area, you can donate £15 and we can get this set up! Also, you'll even be able to have your name put on the bin (photo is optional) so people can see who donated a bin to us!
Each bin comes with cool logos, is weatherproofed and supplied with heavy duty bin bags AND has a wee poop bag dispenser on them just incase you forget your bag!
All bins will be maintained and emptied as and when needed by a selection of our volunteer members!
Once again, thank you so much in advance for any donations we receive! We can only hope that North Lanarkshire Council realise the impact of removing these bins and decide to reinstate them! But for now we have you covered!
Thank you from us all, at Cumbernauld Doggy Club 🐾 Let's Play Together 🐾

Let's work together and help keep our community clean and tidy! I am eternally grateful for all those who have donated and backed my project! 💕🐾🌈🐶 (if you want a bin in your area, please contact me on support@cumbernaulddoggyclub.co.uk and I'll get one commissioned for you!)

3 years agoHonestly words can't describe how haply I am to see the community pull together and back our project! We will be reaching out to those who donated a bin to this project and discussing key details about installing them! Now that we have hit our initial target, feel free to keep sharing this JustGiving project to get more bins put up! Hopefully NLC will see sense and either work with us to maintain our project, or put their own bins BACK where they should have been. Thank you all who donated, again this means so much to us all as dog lovers! X
