Story

CrossFit River Mersey is a CrossFit gym owned by Kev Hulse. This gym has been open since 2014 and built up from nothing. Kev has done absolutely everything for this gym, created the strongest community possible and is a place members come to train, build friendships and is an escape for many. If anyone is every in need of support, funds need raising or if there is a special event of a member (baby showers etc) Kev is the first point of call. He will go out of his way to arrange any throwdowns and fundraisers, involving other gyms and getting as many members and non-members down to help raise money.

Devastatingly, on the 8th May 2023 the building of which CrossFit River Mersey is attached to went on fire and we have received the news today that the building has been deemed structurally unsafe. This means that the gym has had no choice but to close immediately. At this moment in time Kev is unsure of the damage to any equipment, if anything has been destroyed from smoke damage or the water from inside the building.

As a CrossFit community, we would love to repay the kindness that Kev provides to each and every one of us and let him know how much himself and his gym means to us all. I am trying to help raise as much funds as possible to help Kev find a new home for CrossFit River Mersey and all the costs involved with this.
