I've raised £1000 to Farnley Falcons Rugby Trip

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well!
On August 3rd, I will be embarking on an incredible journey, riding my bike 537 miles from John O’Groats in Scotland to the home of the Farnley Falcons Rugby Club, to raise funds for our club. Half of the proceeds will go directly to the club, while the other half will support the Under 13s team, which I coach, for our trip to France in 2026.
I’m taking on this challenge alongside Christian Kisby, who has convinced me to join him. Unlike my usual approach of not training for my challenges, whether it was completing the Leeds marathon, conquering the 3 peaks in December on my own, or riding 600 miles in a month during the Covid-19 pandemic, this will be my toughest test yet.
I believe the mental challenge will be more demanding than the physical one. We plan to cover this distance in 7 days:
- Day 1: 80 miles
- Day 2: 74.5 miles
- Day 3: 83.2 miles
- Day 4: 62.7 miles
- Day 5: 94.4 miles
- Day 6: 91.9 miles
- Day 7: 83.2 miles
On the final day, I would love for people to join us on their bikes in Skipton and ride with us along the canal to the club, where we'll celebrate with some drinks once we finish.
As I mentioned, I usually just dive into challenges without training, and I don’t typically ask for donations. However, this time I’m kindly asking for any contributions you can make as I push my body to its limit and wild camp in the middle of nowhere. I’ll be blogging the ride so you can keep up with our progress and send us encouraging messages to keep us going. I’m absolutely thrilled about this ride.
Thank you for reading, and hopefully, I’ll see you at the finish line
at the Nest to celebrate with some well-deserved drinks on that Friday.
