Story
Cowes Radio has been on air at Cowes Week since 1985, entertaining and informing everyone that visits for spectating and partaking. Enthusiasts tune in online from all around the World, as well as on 87.7fm on their radios around the Solent area.
We are an independent station, only able to bring the award-winning coverage by support from advertisers and sponsors. These are becoming incredibly hard to find, and we have to pay the ever increasing fees for licensing all the aspects of our broadcasts, putting Cowes Radio's future in jeopardy.
This year we partner with the official Lendy Cowes Week charity, Andrew Simpson Foundation, that run the now famous Barts Bash. We want to do our bit for them as well, so 50% of any monies raised through this Just Giving appeal will help them continue their excellent cause and the costs of their involvement with the Week.
We are suggesting a donation of a 50p per foot of craft for a shout out on air for your or your friend's boat and all the crew's names. Just a few £ for all our amazing shore supporters will all help keep us on air. Please include your details with your donation and listen out for your mention!
We at Cowes Radio and Andrew Simpson Foundation thank you for all your kind words and support.
We love making it, we hope you like listening.

So many thanks for excellent coverage of Cowes Week again. A land bound Redwing sailor stuck at my desk grabbing 5 mins per hour of racing news. Plus the Redwing starts of course!

Like Louisa, I also have a 91 year old father who is enjoying the coverage over in France - one word sums up Cowes Radio and the Team, as Uffa would put it - "Marvellous!!"

Cowes Radio has been on air at the world's premier regatta since the mid 1980's - and some say the music list hasn't been updated since then! It brings meaning to the myriad of multi-coloured sails and general melee afloat with live informed commentaries and nautical info.
