Iʼve raised £730 to Support the daily wage labourers of Pakistan amid the COVID-19 lockdown.

Funded on Monday, 20th July 2020

    Story

Major cities of Pakistan are in lockdown due to COVID-19 spread, impacting the daily wage labourers the hardest. With government not able to provide any meaningful support to these people, we have to ACT NOW.

We are a team of volunteers who have started providing food packs to these labourers in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

One food pack can feed a family of 4-5 for a whole month. We've realised we need a lot of support as there are thousands of such people looking for help.

40 British Pounds - Feeds a family of 4-5 people for 1 month including a Rs.2000 cash donation to cover other basic expenses.

80 British Pounds - Feeds 2 families of 4-5 people for 1 month including a Rs.2000 cash donation to each family.

Each food pack contains an assortment on lentils, flour, sugar, rice, oil, milk, spices and tea to last 1 month.

All your donations will go to feed these people, not a penny in admin costs or expenses.

Secondly, with your help, we have purchased items to prepare 100 food packs and placed an order for another 100 food packs. These will feed 200 families for 1 month. We have been advised by the government to deliver these packs door to door, to enable people to stay indoors. We will share pictures in the next update later this week. Please share this campaign with all your networks. JazakAllah

25/03/2020 We have two great news for our donors. Firstly, the provincial government (Government of Punjab) has appreciated our efforts and have selected us for distribution of the government supplied food packs that will be arriving to our warehouse. Chairman of Punjab Food Authority, Mr. Umer Tanveer Butt, expressed his total backing for our effort.
