Story
.“Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah ] from that which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”[Quran 3:92]
In the wake of outbreak of Coronavirus, Pakistan’s initial economic losses in different sectors of the country’s economy have been estimated at Rs1.3 trillion. These losses are going to be incurred on account of drop in the GDP growth because of reduction in services sector, including airline business and others, FBR’s revenue loss, massive decline in imports, exports, reduction in remittances, disruption in food supplies and other fronts.
Over 80 percent of Pakistanis consistently report that their economic wellbeing has either deteriorated or remained the same. Only 20 percent, disproportionately concentrated in the very top of the distribution, feel that they are better off and similarly small numbers believe that economic conditions have improved for their locality. If we took a poll today, it is possible that many of them would say that extreme poverty has risen rather than fallen
As the coronavirus spreads across the globe, it appears to be setting off a devastating feedback loop with another of the gravest forces of our time: economic inequality. In societies where the virus hits, it is deepening the consequences of inequality, pushing many of the burdens onto the losers of today’s polarized economies and labor markets. Research suggests that those in lower economic strata are likelier to catch the disease.
They are also likelier to die from it. And, even for those who remain healthy, they are likelier to suffer loss of income or health care as a result of quarantines and other measures, potentially on a sweeping scale.
In this moment of disaster and difficulty, we need to help the unfortunate to get back on track. While this will improve their life quality, it will also save the donator from contracting any trouble during this time. As It has been mentioned by Hadith Mubarika, that:
(Treat your sick ones with sadaqah. Sadaqah repels all illnesses and calamities.) [Bayhaqi]
and it was also narrated that:
(Charity increases one’s life span. Sadaqah wipes out sins and protects one against awful death.) [Tabarani]
We request all those who have feelings sympathy and harmony for their brethren, to come forward and donate generously, to make sure that those brothers who are less privileged are not deprived of the basic necessities of the life because of this unanticipated calamity in their life.
The Link International Welfare Society is aiming to provide those affected people with food and other daily necessities at their door step. We need your help to achieve this aim.
Remember every penny you donate, will increase your wealth tenfolds!!
