I've raised £10000 to create a new school library for the children of Coppice Valley Primary school

Our current library has been in situ for 20 years and is in dire need of updating. The shelving was actually second hand when we bought it, so had already seen many years of service. Now, many shelves are broken and it is not fit for purpose. There is not any dedicated seating or cosy spaces to read a book. It’s been a make-do and mend space that has now become very tired. In short, it is not the magical, inspiring space that a children’s library should be to nurture a love of reading.
Over the pandemic, we took our books out of the library and set up covid-secure book swap stations for our families and reading corners in social bubble classrooms. Our priority was making sure the children had plenty of books to read while they were at home. Unfortunately, we lost a lot of stock or had books returned in a poor state. So, we really need to invest funds in new and exciting quality books for our children too. We’re using the opportunity of restocking our library to think about the types of books we have. With this in mind, we’re working with educational and equality experts to ensure our books are diverse.
We would love it if you could help us with our fundraising by sponsoring part of the project or by matching a percentage of the funds raised for our sponsored read . Any contribution, big or small, will really help us to reach our target. You could choose to sponsor a specific part of our library or make a general contribution to the project.
Below are some examples of what you could choose to sponsor (prices taken from a quote). You can of course choose as many elements as you like!
