BANGOR Swim Club is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers, providing children aged 8 - 18 with swimming training and coaching in Bangor Pool.

The children are dedicated and committed swimmers and they achieve amazing levels of fitness.

THE PROBLEM!

* The pool hire costs have gone UP

* Covid restrictions have limited the numbers of swimmers in each lane and session

Which means we need to fundraise to pay for pool hire to keep the children swimming ! The increased costs combined with reduced swimmer numbers is threatening the viability of Clwb Nofio BANGOR.

Swimming can be a lifelong sports for fitness, for fun, for friendship. It is a vital life skill for children and every swimmer knows the confidence and discipline the sport teaches. Right now the mental health benefits for the children are even more important, and we know the swimming is helping many of the children cope at this tough time.

We hope that the local community , ex-swimmers, current swimmers, sports people, family and friends will all feel able to donate to our cause.
