The aim of the event is to raise money for the Clocktower Pre-School burrows area, a newly fenced off area with only a couple of tyres in there. The Pre-school consists of Military and Civilian children, as a charity organisation they are raising funds to provide the area with equipment including den building, climbing facilitates, balancing opportunities, tools, outdoor mark making and more.

The second part of the charity event is for Scotty's Little Soldiers, this charity is dedicated to support children and young people who have experienced the death of a parent who have served in the British Armed Forces.

Aldershot Garrison Clock tower Pre-School and School Club are creating an outdoor learning environment that provides children with a safe space to connect with nature, explore, take risks and challenge themselves without limitations. The area aims to inspire awe and wonder and endless opportunities for fun and will be available for children in the preschool and school club, as well as the youth club ran by the AWS, (Army Welfare Service)

The distance is up to 4000 miles, these miles are dedicated to Lance Corporal Michael Foley AGC (SPS) who tragically lost his life in Afghanistan in 2012 his 10 year anniversary is 26 Mar 22.

To coincide with the 24 hour cycle fundraising event, the children of the Pre-School are taking part in a sponsored mile a day fun run.
