Story
Creation Climbing Centre, the Solihull Mountaineering Club and the Lucres plan to climb the height of Everest indoors at the Climbing centre on Saturday 11th March 2017.
My husband and I, our two children, Tane and Affi will be joined by many friends from Creation Climbing Centre and Solihull Mountaineering Club to dress up for a day of fun and climbing.
St. Martin de Porres Primary School currently has no green space for the children to make use of in playtime or for after school activities. This places restrictions on the afterschool activities available for the children including sport and nature based clubs.
The school has recently secured a grant to develop the old caretaker's cottage and there is a also a patch of overgrown land that could be developed. The school would require funds to enable the further development of the forest school which would provide green space for the children to utilise during playtime and as a learning tool within the school curriculum.
This city school offers great a deal to it's pupils without financial remuneration, in that afterschool clubs are all free.. unheard of I know! It would be just great to be able to fund this new school development to facilitate the continuation of such great work.

I am a rock climber and mother of two children at St. Martin de Porres school and would like to raise the funds to enable this project. The idea to climb Everest indoors came from our love of climbing and the children's keenness to be part of this fundraising project.
