Story
Throughout lockdown we started walking to pass the time, anything between 10 - 20 miles a day, since going back to work in The Hitide Inn we have not had the time to keep up the walking, so we decided to give ourselves a challenge by climbing Snowdon. With that we decided to do it for a good cause, to which we chose the RNLI but to keep it local and just do it for the Porthcawl Lifeboat Station - all donations are going here. We chose Porthcawl lifeboat station because all the volunteers that are the crew and the people behind the scenes, do so much for our little town on a daily basis. Porthcawl would be lost without them, as a charity that relys on donations and fundraising events the pandemic over the last 18 months has certainly hit them hard. And for those of us who live by the sea, we all know and appreciate the wonderful job they do to save lives.
