We are asking for your help to continue rescuing wildlife around Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

As many of you know, the wildlife team who look after the animals at Cleethorpes Boating Lake (and beyond) do so out of their own pockets and have never turned away a rescue, but as you can imagine, vet bills don't come cheap, nor does the contestant supply of food. More recently the demand for rescues has skyrocketed in the area and has made it a difficult challenge that the team is continuing to ride on a daily basis.

Rescues are not always as easy as they seem, they often take hours of trust-building, capture, and hundreds, if not thousands of hours of recovery before being released. - Not to mention the wading through ditches, bushes, high water, low water, sand, marsh, and probably a few swamp monster homes ... day and night!

Last year our wildlife expert Linda (Who has 45 years in rescuing wildlife for various charities) recused over 60 injured or poorly wild birds alone which she rehabilitates from her own home and garden and pays for all the high-cost vet, food and comfort bills from her own pension! Any animal that is rescued is always given the best care and should they not be suitable for release (no longer fit for the wild) will either spend the rest of their lives with Linda or on a private lake/land.

Did you know the average vet bill for a poorly swan is roughly £60 before any injuries are included?

We do not get any support financially from the cafe/ kiosk around the boating lake or NELC so all donations are hugely appreciated and will continue to allow us to work on rescuing injured animals around the local area.

We are asking, if you have some spare cash please consider helping your local wildlife team continue to provide such great care when an animal is in distress. None of the donations will be used as payment, it will only be used for essential items such as food, vet bills, equipment, etc.
