Jack was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2016 at the age of 4. Duchenne mainly affects boys and is a life-limiting, progressive muscle wasting disease with no treatments or cure.

Jack is now 11 and struggling to keep walking, he also now understands what is happening and that very shortly he will no longer be able to walk by himself. Imagine being 11 and knowing that!

We are fundraising for Jack’s Aim, which is a family fund connected to the charity Duchenne UK, raising money for clinical trials to find treatments to slow this devastating disease down and hopefully one day a cure.

Jack also has his own fundraising page, Jack in a Jam, which we raise money for equipment he may need as his muscles weaken but primarily for making memories.

Any money we raise will be split between the two.

On Saturday 12th August, 2pm at the Pocklington Rugby Club, three of us are shaving our hair to hopefully raise lots of money.
