Story

Can you help us realise our vision to TRANSFORM the Church Hall, Elton by building a new extension and refurbishing the existing hall to make it fit for purpose?

The Church community in the Parish of Thornton-le-Moors, Ince and Elton has a big vision for our church hall building. We are already well underway with our project and hope to ‘cut the first sod’ with the groundworks in Spring 2019 BUT we have more money to raise for this ambitious scheme which will cost over £400,000 in total.

Our project is two-fold:

• Construct a new building extension: a brand new, smaller, quieter space for meetings and community activities;

And,

• Refurbish the main hall: returning it to its original use as a sports hall and versatile space for larger events and activities, such as badminton, indoor bowls, parties and functions.

Why?

We need a more flexible space. The Church Hall has served us well over the last thirty years but it needs a makeover and we have identified our community would also benefit from its transformation in this way in order to meet the needs of all ages, from small babies to teenagers, to young mums, to older residents….and all sorts of other people in between!

Can you help with a small financial donation? We are aiming to raise £5,000 with this ‘JustGiving’ appeal, can you send us a small donation and help us realise our vision for this building and allow us to invest in the community and wider area?
