Our girl Molly had a terrible accident last year on holiday, falling 10 metres from a tree top adventure course and breaking her back.
Molly is climbing mount Snowdon on July 8th this year to try and raise some funds for the fantastic volunteer fire department who attended the scene.
This team are true life savers and our heroes. They are volunteers and rely on charity donations for kit and training.
Despite the trauma of the day and what followed, Molly will never forget the kindness of the volunteer fire woman who held her head perfectly still and soothed and reassured her, brushing ants and insects off her face while the medics worked on her and prepared her for the air ambulance.
My hero was the off duty fireman who arrived in his jeans - he had heard the helicopter over head and so just turned up to see if he could help on his day off.
Grace was stuck half way up a tree watching events unfold beneath her and it was the fire department who got her down safely.
They then escorted the ambulance over the hilly roads to get her safely to the waiting helicopter.
I could go on but essentially can not even imagine the outcome if this team were not around to save the day.
Because the charity that supports this fire service is French we are not able to raise funds through Just Giving so are having to do it through crowd funding and then transfer the money.
