Story

We work on Tegid ward in Ysbyty Gwynedd (Hospital), Bangor. The surgical ward we work on specialises in looking after patients that have had bladder or bowel surgery. To improve the quality of service we can provide we are in desperate need of a new bladder scanner as the one we currently use is approximately 18years old, outdated and temperamental on a good day! We also need an ECG machine but as both are £6,000 each, we didn't want to set our target too high haha so were starting with the bladder scanner :)

Both keen runners and work colleagues we started training together last summer. Blood, sweat and tears has made us good friends and a passion for our job has made us want to make a difference to the ward we work on. We therefore decided to take on The International Snowdon Race (a 10-mile race to the summit of Snowdon which peaks at 3,560ft and back down to Llanberis lakeside) on the 20th of July 2019 to raise money for some new equipment. Chris has previously taken on the gruelling challenge where as Leanne was stupid enough to agree to try! Please show your support for this worthwhile cause and get us up and down the mountain! Any size donation would be gratefully appreciated. Please feel free to come and cheer us on, on race day. Thank You x
