I having been working as a TA at Shenstone School for over a year now and can see that it is a truly amazing place. Shenstone is an all-through (special primary and secondary) school for children who have severe and or complex learning difficulties within the London Borough of Bexley. In addition to their severe learning difficulties some of the pupils have autism, physical disabilities, sensory difficulties, medical needs, and/or challenging behaviours. All pupils have a communication difficulty.

My aim is to raise as much money as possible for Friends of Shenstone by completing the Brighton Marathon (my first ever marathon) on Sunday 6th April 2025.

Friends of Shenstone maintain the specially adapted mini-buses, run fun activities that the children and families can enjoy together, and replace old equipment so that the children at Shenstone School benefit from the advances of new technology.

Their current aim is to replace the playground equipment, which needs updating, and to fund more specialist outside play equipment so that all the children can enjoy the playground. This would make a huge, positive difference to many children who attend the school.

All donations will be very much appreciated.
