We are six Scouts from Chesterfield, Derbyshire who have worked hard to gain a place at the 2019 International Jamboree in West Virginia. We are enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated Scouts. All six of us have gained our Gold Chief Scouts award.

The World Jamboree is an educational event that brings together the World's Scouts to promote peace and mutual understanding and to develop leadership and life skills. It has strong conservation and outdoormanship qualities. The Jamboree embraces the growing trend of leadership development and global citizenship that the movement has cultivated.

We will have an immersive North American experience while sharing cultural experiences from across the globe. Completing challenging experiences to deliver the promise of Scouting with this event by building bridges between people, cultures, ideas and lands, while encouraging continue growth and development of leaders, lifelong leaders and good citizens of the global community.

We want to give back what we learn to the local scouting community and inspire more youngsters to achieve amazing personal goals, encouraging younger scouts in the local and wider community to become upstanding citizens.

We are proud we have been offered a place but now the hard work really begins, we have to raise £25000 to cover the cost of the trip.

We are aged between 13 and 15 years and at the forefront of fund raising with the full support of our parents, who are committed to give up their spare time, encourage and believe in our ability to succeed. We set a fine example to other teenagers and display the very essence of good role models in today’s society. However we can’t do this alone and so must strive to get people to acknowledge and believe in us. We will make outstanding advocates representing the UK in 2019.
