Story

We are thrilled to share with you the exciting news that the Kent College Sponsored Walk is scheduled for the concluding day of this term, which falls on Friday, October 20th.

It is always a heart-warming spectacle to witness a river of students, parents, and dedicated staff departing from the KC premises to embark on a meticulously planned and, most importantly, well-marked route spanning approximately 10 kilometres.

Our Upper Sixth students are hard at work devising surprises to motivate our walkers and also determining the winners of the best-decorated tent at various checkpoints along the way. The walk will be held in the morning, followed by house music festivities in the afternoon. Detailed information regarding these events will be forthcoming. For our Prep school parents, we extend a warm invitation to join your children on the walk, while Senior School students will have the opportunity to walk alongside their friends and tutors.

We understand that for some of our pupils, the chance to bring their family dog along on the walk is a significant perk. As in previous years, we kindly request a £10 donation per dog and that any dogs accompanying Senior School pupils be accompanied by a parent. A dog desk will be set up on the day to register your pups and to make the donation.

In addition to fostering a strong sense of community, this event also serves as an opportunity for us to contribute to meaningful causes. We are enthusiastic about directing the proceeds from the walk to support Folly Wildlife, Action for AT, and APOPO.
