I've raised £1000 to Provide Elderly care home residents with creative activities to improve mental health and wellbeing during lockdown.....

I'm Sal, a mummy of 4 children living in Kingsholm, Gloucester. Before Christmas I joined Usborne Books. Part of working with Usborne is the ability to fundraise in the community to provide books/resources for local good causes......
Finding ourselves back in Lockdown 3, -got me thinking..... We may feel lonely at times, a bit low every now and then not being able to see our friends and loved ones......
But how lonely it must be as an Elderly resident, not being allowed their visits from family and loved ones.
So I decided I'd set up a fundraiser to raise money to buy some creative activities (magic painting books, finger painting, jigsaws, puzzle/word search books....) to cheer up some local residents from several local care homes:-
*Saintbridge House
*Horton House
*Chestnut Residential Care Home
*Redlands Acre
As an ex Occupational Therapist, I know the benefits that meaningful occupation and creative activities can have on improving our mental health. Usborne have some beautiful magic painting books, that just require a glass of water, (the books come with a paintbrush) Just gently wetting the paper with a wet brush, releases the bold beautiful colours. Simply stunning. Relaxation and mindfulness- perfect for cheering up anyone 🖌️🎨
♥️Magic Painting books are £5.99, ♥️
If your able to please donate the cost of a book or donate whatever you can......
All donations are EXTREMELY gratefully received 😊
