Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to visit a local township to provide hot food for the community living there. Alongside the other volunteers I am living with and our host family we prepared meals for over 800 people and had the pleasure of witnessing first hand the gratitude shown for this relatively minor undertaking. We are hoping to return to the township next weekend (my final weekend in Cape Town 😢) and are asking for your support to help fund this.

The people who live in the township do not expect our support. They do not take for granted that someone will come along and give them food. They make do with what they have and are so very grateful for anything else that may come their way.

£250 will feed 300 people. There are over 300 children alone living in this township who, without the support of the wider community, will not be guaranteed a hot meal every day. Please donate whatever you can- if every single one of my friends on here gave just £1 it would make such a big difference to the lives of the incredible, strong, courageous people living out here in South Africa 💖
