Tay wants to raise some money for his friend charlie who is now fighting cancer for the 2nd time!

So before Charlie gets admitted into hospital to start treatment we have organised a fund raising evening on the 13th September 2019 at The Ridham Bar, Kemsley starting at 6.30pm, where Charlie wants to shave his hair before he loses it through treatment. So Tay, Jack & others have decided to have their hair shaved off to raise some money for charlie, there will also be other people having their heads shaved too, so please come along to watch and support charlie.

So here’s how it all started back in 2016 when Charlie was only 15 he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, Charlie nearly lost his life to this cancer, he was on a life support machine and also went through very strong, harsh Chemotherapy. But there was no holding Charlie back with the help of his family and friends he put up the biggest fight and kicked cancer’s arse! Charlie was back Boxing and playing Football which he loved doing and missed so much.

And then Charlie started feeling weak and unwell again, so had lots of different tests done to be told he now has another Cancer caused through the Chemotherapy he had for his last Cancer! Charlie is now 18 years old and got to go through it all again!

So Charlie has now been diagnosed with Myodisplasia Syndrome (Bone Marrow Failure), Charlie has to go to the hospital twice a week for blood test and most weeks has had to go back for blood transfusion and Platelet transfusion.

He is going to be admitted into hospital for 1 month hopefully the middle of October to start a very intense Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and Stem Cell Transplant hopefully helping his bone marrow function to start working again. Failing this he will have to have a Bone Marrow Transplant.
