Hey guys! So as some of you will already know I already save and rehabilitate wildlife! However last may things took an unusual turn! We were asked to rescue a fox cub who was in desperate need of our help! How is this unusual you ask? Well cue Trixie fox coming into our lives! Trixie is not your standard red wild fox! She is infact a silver fox! Who at 8weeks old was already in trouble! Despite being sold as a pet or domestic fox she is a very strong willed fox even as an 8week old cub! So our lives get a quick turn into chaos and well what a rollercoaster it has been!! I can say I would not have survived the last 12months without her sassy, strong willed attitude to keep me going! Cue I find a gentleman in Norway who also has domestic foxes though these are actually domesticated (unlike Trixie). He has spent his entire life creating these incredible little balls of fur! When suddenly his entire world is brought down! Norway went fur farm free!! Great and long overdue you say? Yes I agree HOWEVER!!! This had unimaginable consequences for Joakim and his pack of domestic foxes! The Norwegian government decided to put a blanket ban on keeping foxes in Norway! So he has had to move his fur babies to Finland to save them from being destroyed by the government!! Unfortunately he is unable to go with them due to severe health issues so, he has offered me the honour of helping and carrying on his life's work! So I am hoping to raise funds to bring the next generation of cubs to the UK! Saving them from an unclear future and risk of becoming fur! So I am covering all the costs associated with with importing these incredible animals!! They will be used for education, further progress Joakims work and hopefully make amazing pets and companions here in the UK!! So any help towards the cost of importing them (vet checks, jabs, travel, paper work etc) and the cost to get these guys the best enclosures, enrichment, toys, treats, food, vet bills the list goes on!! So I am really hoping you can all stand with me in this fight to save these beautiful little souls.
