On Monday 20th January, Charles Dooher was subjected to a violent, barbaric attack which has left him fighting for his life. This has devastated his family and has turned their world and his, upside down.

Whilst Charles focuses on the fight ahead, his loved ones are by his side every step of the way.

Today, we are reaching out with heavy hearts and a plea for help to alleviate some of the strain on the family.

In addition to the emotional toll, they will need to manage the financial burden that comes with travel expenses, daily needs, and ongoing care.

No family should have to ever suffer this awful trauma and we hope to lighten the load for them by easing any financial concerns that come as a result of this unimaginable ordeal.

Anyone who knows Charlie will tell you what a kind hearted soul he is. He has always gone above and beyond to help others.

We are calling on friends, businesses and anyone with a compassionate heart to step forward and help Charles and his family weather this storm.

We are aware of fundraising events that are being organised in and around Lifford. It’s truly heartwarming to see the community pulling together at this difficult time. This show of support is testament to Charles’ own kind and good nature.
