I made this map the other day to better understand the situation for refugees fleeing Ukraine but in doing so, the scale of this War only deepened my pain and the feeling that I need to do more.

I am part of a wide international filmmaking community and as such have friends working right now on the Ukraine Poland border At Hrebenne. They are journalists for Celebro but have become far more, as the emergency response team is entirely volunteer run.

They tell me people have quit their jobs to go there, to drive refugees across the border to safety, to make food to hand out. This is all from their own pockets.

What I’m told is they need cold hard cash to put in the hands of people who have long journeys still to make and very little left of their lives. The team there are giving people physical money and I would like to pass that on, to continue the chain of giving. Any tiny amount will directly impact people fleeing today.
