Iʼm raising £750 to Help Carrs Lane Counselling Centre Continue its Vital Work

Story
As a volunteer at Carrs Lane Counselling Centre, I've seen firsthand the transformative impact it has on individuals facing mental health challenges.
For over 50 years, the centre has been a lifeline for adults in Birmingham and surrounding areas, providing affordable, high-quality counselling services. Our dedicated team of volunteer counsellors is deeply committed to making a difference, but we need your help to continue this vital work.
Currently, we face a growing waitlist of over 60 individuals seeking support. Financial constraints are making it increasingly difficult to keep our doors open and meet the rising demand for our services. Your generous donations will enable us to:
Cover essential operating costs: Ensuring our centre remains accessible to those who need it most.
Expand our capacity: Reducing wait times and reaching more individuals in need.
£10 will fund an assessment session
£35 will fund a counselling session for someone unable to afford it for themselves.
£350 will fund ten counselling sessions to support an adult suffering from problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, anger, guilt, shame or a bereavement.
£700 will fund 20 sessions of counselling to support a person who needs more time to process and work through profoundly difficult issues such as sexual abuse, or complex trauma, that have negatively impacted their life, often for many years.
To raise funds and awareness, I'm taking on a personal challenge: three fitness events in three weeks! I'm doing a solo Hyrox, 10km run and then a final doubles Hyrox.
By supporting my efforts, you're not only helping me reach my goals but also investing in the mental well-being of our community. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a significant difference.
Together, we can ensure that no one faces their struggles alone. Visit our website to learn more about Carrs Lane Counselling Centre and how your support can change lives. Thank you for your generosity.
