I've raised £6000 to Help the women in Afghanistan

Hi, I'm Carrie. I recently traveled to Afghanistan and witnessed firsthand the dire situation faced by women there. They are banned from education, from taking any government or well-paid job, from leaving the country without a male guardian, from visiting parks and since I left, they have actually been banned from speaking loudly outside.. their voices cannot be heard and their faces must now be completely covered - they have basically been erased from their society.
Single mothers, in particular, are living in a state of despair with no hope or prospects. I met women whose husbands had disappeared or died, leaving them unable to afford even basic necessities like lighting a gas cylinder to keep their children warm in winters as harsh as -35 degrees Celsius.
I am raising funds to support the very community I met, with the hope that one day, the regime will change its destructive policies toward women. Just the cost of a coffee can keep a woman warm for a week. Please help me make a difference by donating whatever you can.
To truly understand their plight, please watch this video from 11.09. Every little bit helps, and together, we can bring hope to those who need it most.
