I've raised £1000 to help Pippa’s Army continue rescuing strays & reuniting lost pets with their owners - every animal deserves a chance

So on Saturday 13th July I will be taking part in a 24hr relay race with 3 other friends, each lap is 5.75 miles, when I last did this race in 2022, we were a team of 5 and we ran a total of 25 laps, 5 laps each. This year to match that we will need to do 6 laps each with one or two of us doing 7 laps if time permits. I am hoping to raise some much-needed funds for an animal rescue, Pippa’s Army, which I have been volunteering for since 2020. It is down to this group of volunteers that I was able to be reunited with my cat Mowgli who had sadly been run over & killed.
Pippa’s Army is run solely by volunteers who give up their time to help reunite lost pets with their owners and to help re-home unwanted/abandoned pets as well find loving furever homes for strays who just want a safe & loving home to grow old in. We TNR ferals getting them medical treatment & neutering/spaying as needed. And as in my case we also go out to injured animals as well as those that have lost their lives, sadly not every animal we go out to survives but we make sure that they are given love and fuss during their final moments and make sure they are not alone. Some of the stories of our fosters are heartbreaking, and all of us volunteers have shed many a tear for the animals that we have helped and for those that we are too late for. But we always try our best and believe in our moto “every animal deserves a chance”
We are currently fostering approximately 140 animals , we have a list as long as my arm of the animals that need to come in & be found a furever home. We rely solely on donations of money, food, & other necessities from members of the public. Our vet bills are huge as we will not refuse treatment for an injured animal, but just the cost of ensuring our animals are vaccinated, flea’d, wormed & neutered/spayed is not small. Our food & cat litter bills are also huge as we provide the food & litter to our fosterers for all the animals in our care, as an owner of two cats I spend at least £75 a month on food so you can imagine how much our food bill is for 140 each month, let alone all the other things needed, like scanners, transporters, traps, collars, the list goes on.
Every penny counts so please not matter how small your donation is please please help me raise money for this cause that is so close to my heart. Thank you! Every animal deserves a chance! Adopt don’t buy!
