Story
Sadly my daughter Cassie sadly passed away on the 17th June 2020 Cassie was born to be a teacher, she previously taught in Thailand for 3 years and most recently at her home here in Jersey at Rouge Boullion school, Cassie was loved so much by her pupils , parents and collegues, the letters cards and drawings from pupils are overwhelming. Cassie had plans for the children returning to school .The following is part of a lovely message from her headmaster ;
We would also like to create a Friendship Bench in her name too, where children can come in the playground if they want someone to play with. We have had some parents asking if they could contribute to something in Cassie’s memory, so they could contribute to this if they wish Cassie and I had been discussing improvements to the Year 1 outside area, and she had drawn up a plan and . I would like to see these plans through and put up a plaque to recognise the contribution from both Cassie, and Variety.
These are just a few and thechildren will be oaying their own tributes to Cassie
We are planning an Art afternoon so all children make a clay flower head which we will put together into a whole-school piece of artwork. The children can also contribute ideas towards a mural on an environmental theme that will be painted be a local artist based on these contributions
One of the children suggested that we have a minute’s clap for Cassie, and although we liked the idea, we thought it was a bit too formal as Cassie was more of a fun, exuberant, whooping, outgoing person- so we are planning to have a noisy minute in her honour on Monday 13th, with children bringing in whatever they can to make as much noise and have as much fun for that minute as they can. Hopefully anyone within half a mile will be unable to fail to hear us; I think it would be something that would have made Cassie smile
So my dream as a mum (or mumsie as Cassie would call me ) would love to see her plans and ideas a reality .
Thank you
