    Story

    Carlos Medina 1951-2022

    Carlos funeral details.

    The service will be held:

Friday 21st October at Lodge Hill crematorium at 2.30pm.

We have a double slot and anyone wishing to attend is extremely welcome. The service will also be web broadcast for those that cannot attend.

We are asking people to meet prior at Missing Bar on Hurst Street. The horse drawn carriage will leave Missing at 1:50pm heading to Lodge Hill.

The wake will be at The Loft on Bromsgrove Street based on it being the largest of the venues. We have purposely booked a Friday afternoon so that everyone wishing to attend the funeral and reception can go and raise a glass to him there, and in the other venues afterwards too, in true Carlos ‘man around the gay village’ style.

We are not stipulating a dress code as Carlos had mentioned numerous themes.

If you wish to come in black, or in bright colours, feathers and sequins, it’s your choice.

Please share the message with friends and the community so we can give him the sendoff he so rightly deserves.

Thank you for your generous donations. After receiving such loving support for Carlos we have lifted the ceiling to ensure his memory will be captured in time. Please give what you can afford.

All monies raised that are not spent will be donated to charity 🙏

The close friends that are helping are: Darren Hodson, Sarah Carr, Maria Foster, Jenny Foster, Phil Oldershaw, Hilli Fletcher, Noel Leahy, Trevor Ford, Gareth Scratcherd, Robin Briene, Jose Rodrigues, Santiago Rovitto, Santiago Aparicio, Fabian Parra.

We will update you every step of the way and share the journey of his farewell day!

On the donation link the default amount is £20 just click in the box to change this amount to any other amount. eg £5

If you are making a donation. Just Giving do not charge an admin fee, just 2.9% and 25p transaction charge. They do however automatically add a ‘voluntary’ admin fee with a slider to adjust the amount.

Under the slider you can click the text ‘Or enter a custom amount’ and add £0 if you do not wish to donate to Just Giving. See image.

    Thank you
