I've raised £600 to Support the Cardiff Huskies Para Ice Hockey Club towards the cost of the Ice Time for thier home League Games

The Cardiff Huskies Para Ice Hockey Club was formed in May 1995 and quickly grew developing players at all levels supplying 3 players and 2 staff to the GB Team for the 1998 Winter Paralympic Games in Nagano Japan. Building on these achievements the Huskies won the National League in 2003 and supplied a further 3 players to the GB Team for the 2006 Winter Paralympic Games in Turin Italy.
Unfortunately, the Huskies lost their home when the Wales National Ice Rink closed in 2006 and wasn't able to train again until they moved to the “Big Blue Tent” in 2008. By this time however the Huskies had fallen into decline losing a number of players to retirement and more lucrative summer sports in the build up to the London Paralympic Games. But since then, the Huskies have been rebuilding. In 2013 we re-joined the National League winning Division 2 before becoming National League runners up 3 times between 2015 and 2017.
Nevertheless, with the 2018 British Para Ice Hockey League about to start, regular Ice Time at a cost of over £5000 per year remains the single most significant outgoing for our club and is an ongoing challenge in our determination to keep going.
We are therefore asking our supporters to help us in our quest to regain the League title by raising £600 towards the cost of the Ice Time for our home League Games.
