Story
This year the funds raised from the Trainee Parade will be for the Merton Faith in Action Homelessness Project (http://www.mertonfaithinaction.org/) who provide a drop-in service to vulnerable and homeless people with hot dinners, sleeping bags, clothes as well as internet facilities to help searching for work/volunteer opportunities. This is a local charity that does amazing work in the community that we are proud to support so please be as generous as possible, below is an example of how your contributions can be used to help support this charity and the work they do:
• £5 pays for two Square Meals
• £10 pays for razors for two weeks to enable service users to shower and shave
• £17 pays the cost of one average service user’s day at the Drop-In
• £30 pays for two new, warm sleeping bags which we give out to those rough sleeping
• £50 pays for a month’s worth of the warm socks and underclothes our service users need
• £100 pays for a UK passport, providing ID needed for job applications.
